Employment & Labor Law

Our aim remains to provide counsel that avoids employment problems with a focus upon preventive counsel and training programs that assure compliance with applicable employment laws. We also provide services as necessary in matters requiring dispute resolution.

We represent management in all facets of employment and labor law, counseling their legal obligations in achieving their human resource objectives. This includes counsel in matters such as:

• Executive compensation and employment contracts, and aid in the recruitment and retention of key management employees
• Design and implementation of human resource policies, including handbooks, AAPs, FMLA policies, harassment policies and training, FLSA compliance and alternative dispute resolution policies
• HIPAA, drug testing and other privacy related issues
• Implementation of reductions in force
• Disciplinary matters
• Negotiation and administration of Collective Bargaining Agreements
• Design and implementation of Employee Benefit Plans (ESOP, 401(k), ERISA, COBRA)

We have experience litigating labor and employment related claims, having appeared before the NRLB, EEOC and corresponding state and local commissions as well as federal and state courts. Further, we have experience in arbitration and mediation settings. Therefore, we are able to provide integrated and efficient service in dealing with our client’s labor, employment and benefit issues ranging from day to day advice and counsel, design and implementation of labor and employment policies, through negotiation and litigation of disputes.
